Lib Dem councillors were successful at the Council meeting tonight,  getting the Council to agree to introduce a “One Planet Merton” framework, requiring all Council policies and activities to be judged against their impact on the environment.

We know we need to reduce our ecological footprint by two thirds in order to establish a fairer use of global resources – this is a first step.
