Raynes Park & Motspur Park stations – step-free access

by Wimbledon Town & Dundonald Lib Dems on 28 August, 2018

As you probably know, we have been campaigning with local people to make both Raynes Park and Motspur Park stations ‘step-free’ since 2013 (there’s more about the history of this campaign here).

Following the local elections in May, Lib Dem councillors from Dundonald and West Barnes wards (Anthony Fairclough, Simon McGrath and Eloise Bailey) met with the new train company South Western Railway to discuss this issue. We spoke about the data and evidence they need to help them decide whether to make a bid in November to the Government’s “Access for all” Fund  to pay for the improvements.

Can you help us show that people want to make Raynes Park and Motspur Park stations step-free?

4 ways you can help

  1. Tell them your story by writing to them at [email protected]. Please don’t forget to copy us in too ([email protected]).
  2. Tweet them about it at @sw_help – mentioning us too @MertonLibDems
  3. You can call the South Western Railway Contact Centre on 03456 000 650 if you need alternative transport (usually a taxi) to get to an accessible station. You can also call them on 0800 5282 100 for assisted travel.
  4. Please share our petition with friends, neighbours and family that use these stations: http://www.mertonlibdems.org.uk/rp_mp_step_free
