Council bosses are determined to press ahead with new parking charges. The new charges will heavily increase costs for those living in Wimbledon and Raynes Park. 

At the February meeting of Merton Council focusing on air quality, Dundonald Lib Dem councillors Simon McGrath and Anthony Fairclough called on the Council to scrap their plans, and instead move towards an emissions based scheme where the worst polluting vehicles pay more.
