We asked Merton Council a question about plans to implement controlled parking in the Apostles area of Raynes Park.
Our email exchange is included below:
Dear Parking
According to http://www.merton.gov.uk/transport-streets/parking/cpz_boundary_-_carton_web_sep_10.pdf we notice that a CPZ is “under consideration – works programme 2010” in the area of the Apostles not already covered by CPZs, and including Oxford Avenue, Chase Side Avenue, and the relevant part of Kingston Road.
Would you be able to tell us the status of plans with regards to this?

Thank you for your email.
Currently a report is being drafted with the results of the Apostles CPZ proposals. This is to be sent to the Street Advisory Committee and the Cabinet Member for approval. Officers’ are recommending that Carlton Park Avenue, Vernon Avenue and Edna Road be included in the existing RPS CPZ and that Rothesay Avenue and Chase Side Avenue be included in the existing 5F CPZ.
Kind regards,
Brett Cockin
