Cllr Anthony Fairclough, Cllr Simon McGrath and Cllr Paul Kohler: Working hard for Wimbledon, Raynes Park & Wimbledon Chase. Learn more

Labour councillors have proposed an £800,000 trial of wheelie bins.
Households taking part in the scheme would get two wheelie bins, one for recycling and one for other waste. The food waste collections would carry on as normal. If the scheme was judged a success, it would be extended to the whole borough, costing around £5million by 2013.
Raynes Park resident Martin Lewis Crosby said: “These bins not right for many houses and flats in the area, where there is nowhere to store the bins. Labour says that the scheme will increase recycling, but haven’t been able to tell us why when we’ve asked. We’re also concerned about the cost of £5 million, when the Council is trying to make £70 million savings”
Councillors will decide shortly if the trial should go ahead.
