The Dundonald Lib Dem Team is always available to help people improve their local area. You can see some information on how we’ve helped residents to help themselves in August and September here.
Since October, we have:
- Had a major success with the Wimbledon Chase Railway Bridge: worst graffiti cleared!
- Assisted residents in Oxford and Chase Side Avenues with their response to the consultation on implementing CPZs and parking restrictions in the area. See also here about the scheme generally.
- Reported trees blocking the light from street lights on Toynbee Road (council now examining whether problem is with lights themselves).
- Attended a meeting of the new ‘Kingston Road Improvement Group‘ to work on ways to support businesses and the look of the area.
- Reported grafitti on Dundonald Road, near the tram stop (still awaiting response).
- Liaised with the local police team about the number of robberies on Dundonald Road and around Dundonald Rec and the tram stop.
- Raised the poor state of Elm Grove pavements and road surface, as well as damaged pavements on Aston Road (both the road and pavement have been completely re-surfaced).
- Sought assurances on how often and when streets are currently being swept – reported flytipping on Bushy Road (near Aston Road), and poor street sweeping on Oxford Avenue, Edna Road and Merton Hall Road, as well as blocked drains on Prince George’s Avenue.
