Friends of Dundonald Rec group re-launched

by Wimbledon Town & Dundonald Lib Dems on 27 March, 2021

A local group to support and improve the facilities at Dundonald Rec is up and running again – with an acting chair (Mario Subramaniam) and committee (cllr Anthony Fairclough is one of the 3 acting vice-chairs) while it gets going.

We’re looking for people to get involved: whether by helping plant trees and flowers, keeping the noticeboards up to date, or by sharing other ideas on how we might improve things.

Get in touch with the group directly! You join the email list or volunteer by emailing [email protected], and the WhatsApp group is here https://chat.whatsapp.com/68xl7dZq5Lq7EhfpNHdRl1

Since the first lockdown started it’s become even more obvious how important our outdoor space is!

On a separate note, Cllr Fairclough has been promised that the sandpit in the playground will be re-stocked before the end of March and that the digger in it will be fixed(!). Councillors have also started a process to get money to repair or repaint the fencing.
